Level5 Events Raise Big Dollars
Three of the top-five largest public school funding campaigns discussed in a recent article from The Wall Street Journal were supported by the team at Level5. As David Bass from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education told WSJ: “…private support has become mission critical for a lot of these institutions.”
University of Michigan has raised $5 billion, with University of Washington, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, the University of Florida and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign all seeking between $2-$5 billion themselves. Rallying the community, alumni, students and private donors to support such a campaign is supported by launch events, road shows and creative presentation of the school’s authentic brand – all of which the Level5 team supports.
The WSJ author Douglas Belkin wrote about a larger percentage of the funding coming into these campaigns is coming from fewer people of great wealth, further underscoring the need for strong emotional engagement of potential donors. CASE numbers show the top 1% of donors gave 79% of total campaign funds raised and the top 10% gave 92% of the goal.
